Ortho-Women's Health/Urology
Visiting Professors Program

An ongoing educational program for each of the twenty Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine, First and Second Year Osteopathic Medical Students and the Clinical Faculty

Funded by a restricted educational grant from Ortho-Women's Health & Urologyl

This program allows specially trained ACOOG program Visiting Professors to visit each college of osteopathic medicine every other year. The goals of the program are to:

    1. Encourage student interaction with osteopathic role models from different regions and institutions
    2. Enhance career choices in Obstetrics and Gynecology
    3. Provide one hour of continuing Medical Education on a topic such as Emerging Trends in Contraception or a similar topic important to women's healthcare
    4. Allow key opinion leaders and faculty at each College of Osteopathic Medicine to interact with the Visiting Professor and discuss student’s involvement in OB/GYN interest clubs, processes to improve clerkships and share information about teaching and assessing competencies.

Many thanks to Ortho-Women's Health & Urology for the wealth of opportunity that this grant provides for the patients we all serve.
